I just bought my laptop a week ago (brnad new HP), and I’m disappointed with the battery life. I can *maybe* get 90-100 minutes out of it before it craps out. I’m not doing anything heavy duty with it. What can I do to extend the active time, and are there more efficient, longer-lasting batteries available for purchase?
Ok well I wanna get a laptop but not a mac. I want a pc but im indecisive on what to get. I want a thing laptop with a long battery life and a lot of memory. Any ideas I pretty much want the best out there.
I am looking for a laptop. My price range is 0 to ,150. I want amazing battery life, but i to want it to play 3D games, such as WoW and wizard101. and i will want to do video editing on it. Do you know what i should get?

my laptop (zenith) gives a back of 2.5 hrs approximately, can i increase the battery life for more hours or to be more precise can i buy a brand new batteries from the store with more power say that can work upto 5hrs, (oo me just a newbie in using laptop

my laptop only has like a bit more than 1 hr battery life; can i get another battery to put in at uni, or is this going to be more complicated? alternatively how can i extend the battery life to around 2 hrs?
I have had my notebook for almost eight months now and I use it a lot. Most of the time I work on it I have it plugged in & I unplug it after I’m done. Is it fine this way or should I charge it full, then use it until its drained and then charge it again & repeat the process. I am planning to travel a lot soon so I am trying to get the maximum out of my battery life.
I need a battery for my laptop and I am curious what the number of cells mean in regards to the battery life. Does more cells mean more power longer?
Some say one should fully charge the batteries .& plug it to charger only when its low (say 5% ).
Some suggest battery life can be increased if we keep charger always plugged in. However,they say one should avoid charger plugged in when laptop is not in use — this affects battery too much.
I follow other guidelines like reduced screen brightness,avoiding use of CD rom when on battery..
But i am confused with charging option.
i need to buy a new laptop but i dont know what the best one would be for my specifications. i really only need it for basic stuff like pictures and music, but i need to store a lot of both. i also watch movies/tv shows online. and since i am going to college i need a computer with long battery life so that i can bring it to classes.
what computer brand/model would you recommend for someone like me, i really dont know much about computers so any recommendations are appreciated.

I dont need a large harddrive bcuz I plan on using memory sticks and pocket harddirves for large files, but I atleast want 180G’s just incase. I want a decent graphics card for movies and some games from online. I wont plan “PC” games on it tho.
