I pay a fee for internet service on my desktop computer. If I buy a laptop computer and use the desk top’s same screen name and password, will I be expected to pay additional fees for internet service? Excuse my newness.

I am planning on putting a desktop computer in a small (10′ by 10′) room. The room has about 60% humidity and is usually 75 degrees Fahrenheit (23.8 degrees Celsius). These numbers are strictly regulated and hardly vary at all. I was wondering if running the computer in an environment like this would cause it to break or lose performance? Is there anything that could be done to the computer to prepare it for the environment such as adding an extra fan or putting packets of Desiccant or silica gel in the chamber?

My router got broke while in the process of relocating and it will be a few weeks before it is possible for me to replace it. Is it possible to piggyback a signal off my laptop computer by using a wireless adapter, so that I can connect my desktop computer to the internet so that my wife and I can use the internet at the same time?

There was another desktop computer already connected to this modem and the owner of that computer is blaming me for his computer disconnecting.

I thought that computer modems can connect more than one computer in the house!

So is it really MY fault that this other person’s computer has some connection problems?

So I’m planning on purchasing a new laptop, and it’s intended for mostly school work and graphic design and basically just for general use that any high school student would have. It’s going to serve as a desktop computer for me because I prefer laptops over desktops. I want it to last for years to come and I just want to know which laptop sounds best for me. I have an Acer Extensa 2300. I want to connect it to an existing internet connection thing that we use for our desktop computer. So I plug in the modem thing that plugs into our desktop into my laptop, but it doesn’t work. Do I have to set up something on my laptop? I’d like it to be wireless. If I plug a wireless adapter into my laptop would it be able to connect to the modem that is used for the desktop?
