I have bought a new laptop computer. I am wondering if I can hook it up to my old desktop tower? I would like to be able to access the files, and some programs, I have stored on my desktop hard drive and import them to my laptop. Is this possible? If so, what equipment, cables, etc., do I need? Thanks.

I bought Mac Office 2008 for my computer and it came with three keycodes I could use on three different computers.
However, I am rebooting one of the computers from scratch so basically I am wiping the whole hard drive and restoring it to factory settings.
My question is : What will happen to my keycode when I start up the "new" computer? I will have to install Office once again but will the same keycode work again?
HELP?

I am getting into the graphic design industry and am looking at building my own computer for it. What are some good mother boards? I know the 64 bit systems are good. Possibly AMD or Intel. This computer is going to be used with Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Flash. Which at times I could be having them all open at the same time. I would prefer that they do not make the machine drag to much. What would be a good motherboard, graphics card, processor, hard drive(preferably Seagate).

I have a Dell computer running Microsoft Vista that’s about a year old. I wish to erase the hard drive and put the original software back on it. I have four cds that came with the computer. One with the operating system, another with application software, and two with drivers and utilities. I’ve gone to computers and tried formating the hard drive, and it won’t let me. What do I need to do?

I have a laptop computer that I bought 3 years ago. I just a brand new laptop and don’t use the old one anymore. I would like to sell the old computer. How would I remove any personal information from the hard drive? I had the old one just restored just a few months ago. I still have personal pictures on the computer. Thanks for any help with the question.

I have a Windows XP and i’m wondering how to make myself a computer administrator on a limited account? I already tried to start up my computer and press the F8 button but for me it doesn’t show safe mode. It says "Insert CD-ROM or hard drive"… something like that.
Does anyone know any other way to switch a limited account to a computer administrator? And I can’t ask another computer administrator on my computer because no one in my family is an administrator, but I would like to be so please helpp!!

I need to use a hard drive with windows XP on from an old laptop in a newer laptop. The newer laptop does not recognize the hard drive from the old laptop. How can I get the laptop to recognize the old laptops hard drive?
The hard drive from the newer laptop does not work properly so I want to use the hard drive from an old laptop that already has windows XP installed on it (drivers will not be a problem).
The hard drive does work and should work in the old laptop.
