just bought my FIRST laptop…any advice???

My dad’s laptop bag fell off or broke so he really needs a new strap. Are there any stores like Walmart or Target that I can but them from? Thanks

I have a wireless router at home but want to take my laptop to a friends house and they also have a wireless router how do i get connected to it?

I have had issues trying to install windows 7 on my dell XPS M1530 laptop due to the bios being lockedd (only accepting a dell O/S). I need to release the lock to install a non dell os. Any help would be grateful.

is it ok to have my laptop on hibernate all night ???
i am in the middle of downloading something and i want to continue with it in the morning instead of starting all over again

is it safe ?
does the computer use battery power when it hibernates ?

I bought a laptop in 2008, and the battery is COMPLETELY fried.
i can’t take the plug out for more then 5 minutes before the thing is
drained and shuts off. I’m starting university this fall so i want my laptop
to be able to run on battery for a few hours for classes so i bought a new battery.

Just wondering, if while im home and have the power cable plugged in and battery is fully charged, if i take the battery out and only run on the power cable, will that extend the battery life ?

i was wonder if anyone new what the laptop that has the screen that flips around that you can write on it. ( not like with a pen )
