I recently puchased a 2nd hand Dell notebook/laptop and am basically clueless. I’d like to use it to get online but am not sure what I will need to accomplish this. The notebook does have online capabilities but I’m not sure if I need a card or something to tap into wireless internet or if I have to subscribe to an internet provider. Like I said I’m basically clueless about notebooks so any information or links would be appreciated.

What is the best laptop computer to get?
I need some that would have wireless internet and be within a reasonable price range.
About no more than eight hundred dollars is my price range. Sorry I forgot to add that.

My laptop has wifi but Im only picking a couple locked networks from neighbors. I’ve been told that I don’t have wireless internet here at the house so my laptop wont pick it up. I use an embarq router. Is there anyway i can get my laptop to connect to the embarq network here at my house?

I will be moving to Spain for a couple of months. I would like to know the easiest and cheapest way to obtain wireless internet from my host families’ home. I have heard a broadband card is the best, but am confused on how these works/prices/etc…? I have an HP notebook.

I have a Linksys WRTG (or something like that) wireless access point router providing wireless internet to my notebook from being hooked up to my cable modem. I have an iMac 08 as my main PC, and a Windows Vista notebook. How would I set it up so I can print with the printer that is downstairs with my main computer when I’m upstairs on my notebook?

I am going to college this fall (leaving in 1 week!) and I will be buying a new laptop for college. What laptop is best? I am particularly looking for one with a lot of memory, good wireless internet and (hopefully) less than ,000.
