I know a guy who is trying to fix the charger for his laptop and he wants to know what would happen if he puts in 4 watts more than the recommended amount for the computer. The recommended amount is 15.2 watts. He wants to put in 19.1 watts … what would happen?

There is a high probability that this will destroy the internal circuits of the laptop, including the processor itself.
nothing if its just for a day or two but i wouldn’t do it for longer cause its just not good for it
if he does he will voidate the warrenty. tell him not to do it.
It might mess up the mother bored and burn out some Integrated fuses. since a laptop has no power supply to Perfect it from high voltage it only has it Original charger that has the laptop power brick. if he burns a Integrated fuse it will have to be send in for a new mother.
For one, the use of "watts" is incorrect.
The correct term is Volts, and the computer could fry if he’s successful.
Well it’ll be fatal for your laptop to accumulate too much wattage that to it’s original wattage. So it’ll be wise on not trying to experiment if the laptop is really important to the user.
Assuming you mean Volts and not watts 4 extras volts could be disastrous.
If he wants to put in more watts without more voltage he cannot as the computer will only draw what watts (power) it needs to function.
Sounds like your friend is an idiot.
